NVA is looking for a New Resort Marketing Manager to lead marketing strategy to ensure sound market entry, strong grand opening, and Year 1 success for newly constructed NVA owned resorts.


NVA has a robust new resort pipeline, and this role, in partnership with Operations, Construction, Design, Finance, and more, is key to growing NVA’s pet resort business and brand. Creating and executing nimble marketing plans that drive individual resort performance effectively, while integrating into regional and national brand building efforts efficiently, will define the success of this new role.

About The Role


The New Resort Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring successful launches for each new resort. The job is responsible for building pre-opening brand awareness, Pet Parent trial and acquisition, and ensuring on-going frequency and loyalty. This role sets the strategy for new resort openings and Year 1 marketing plans, local and regional marketing layers. The Manager is responsible for all newly constructed, ground up resorts, but will largely focus on the PetSuites brand.


In partnership with their one (1) Associate, and cross-functional internal partners, the Manager brings current openings to life in a fast-paced, rapidly emergent environment, always keeping the forward-looking pipeline, process improvement, and program scalability top of mind.


The New Resorts Marketing Manager is a hands-on role requiring a strategic thinker – capable of taking a goal and translating it into actionable, measurable project plans.


This person must be a self-starting leader of people and projects with a curious mind, bias towards action, and strong executive presence.


Key Responsibilities


  • Track and analyze marketing performance across channels to spot issues, inform revisions, and pivot quickly to improve financial and service outcomes
  • Plan, gain executive buy-in, and execute bespoke plans for Year 1 resorts missing financial goals
  • Leads all aspects of pre-open, through Year 1 resort marketing (large/small, strategic/tactical)
  • Execute marketing plans seamlessly in partnership with external agencies, Field Operations, Finance, Consumer Insights, NVA Marketing, creative teams, and executive leadership
  • Drive new customer acquisition and retention initiatives
  • Mentor and manage one (1) Associate responsible for resort on-boarding, promotional planning, and effectiveness, local community marketing strategy
  • Manage annual budget and optimize spend across the portfolio to drive financial performance
  • Use data to tell stories and communicate marketing impact and value (ROMI)
  • Provide marketing / branding POV on site selection, building design
  • Solve for dynamic market considerations with tailored marketing roadmaps: i.e., customer demographics, competitive landscape, geography, and region saturation (single site vs. multiple)


Qualifications


  • Able to build relationships, influence and guide multiple stakeholders, with / without authority
  • Start-up or fast-paced agency experience a plus
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fully remote environment
  • Energetic self-starter able navigate ambiguity, think creatively, problem-solve, deliver results
  • Open to other perspectives in a changing environment
  • Strong leadership skills with a bias for action
  • Ability to move between strategic thinking and tactical execution with ease
  • Strong business acumen to analyze situations, arrive at thoughtful recommendations / solutions
  • Exceptional project management skills (organization, clear thought process, detail oriented)
  • Field marketing experience preferred
  • Experience managing a team
  • 10+ years in B2C marketing, hospitality, CPG, pet care, or retail preferred
  • A servant leadership approach
  • Familiar with social/digital media, email, and CRM platforms to drive measurable results
  • Proven success creating, executing, and evaluating marketing plans and budgets
  • Ability to work independently with a “roll up your sleeves” approach to work
  • Multi-market, multi-store opening experience required
  • Comfortable with analytics and belief in ROMI based marketing
  • Proven written, verbal, and listening skills in peer and executive environments


The base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 to $110,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a periodic bonus. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
