Job Summary


The Project Management Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of project management within an organization. They provide leadership, guidance, and support to project managers and teams to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires strong strategic thinking, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with managerial oversight into project scope, cost, risk, and planning.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Maintain regular communication to manage expectations, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify and analyze project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively address any issues that may arise and implement contingency plans when necessary.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality expectations. Seek feedback from stakeholders and implement necessary actions to address concerns and improve overall satisfaction.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management team. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and implement tools or technologies to optimize project delivery.
  • Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring proper allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints. Track project expenses, monitor financial performance, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practices. Conduct project reviews to assess quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular project status reports to executive leadership, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and risks. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and change orders requests.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project progress against established goals and objectives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate project performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of project managers, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure project teams have the necessary resources and support.


Required Skills / Abilities


  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of project financials, resource management, and risk mitigation, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and manage project budgets and resources effectively.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, and the ability to adapt and apply them to different project scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, team members, and clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to anticipate and mitigate project risks, resolve conflicts, and drive effective problem resolution to ensure project success.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, set clear expectations, and drive accountability for project outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.


Education And Experience


  • Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in project management roles, with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in managing complex projects, including experience in leading and managing a team of project managers.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms, to plan, monitor, and track project progress.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is typically required. A master's degree or advanced certification in project management is advantageous.


Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Exposed to a normal office environment, attached manufacturing warehouse.
  • Significant travel may be required based on projects.
