LOCATION
IFG Companies is hiring in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, North Carolina and on a case-by-case basis in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. Applicants must reside in one of these states to be hired. Remote and flexible work arrangements are provided to all employees based on manager approval.

SALARY RANGE
The expected salary range is $115,000 to $1135,000 and subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Company.


POSITION SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the IT Project Manager role is to lead the successful delivery of software development releases including, but not limited to, major capital projects, medium-sized system enhancements, and regular support patches. The Project Manager must accomplish this with well-coordinated stakeholder management, and within scope, to a high degree of quality, and within time and cost constraints.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project sponsor and key stakeholders
  • Identify and schedule deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • External service providers’ and consultancies’ project manager(s)
  • Business Unit (BU) management and executives
  • Enterprise architects
  • Create project documentation using input from cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Project Charters, detailed functional requirements, and project plans.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Control scope to limit scope creep and drive change control through proper channels if scope adjustments are necessary.
  • Subject matter experts (such as in security or compliance)
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timelines are met.
  • Coordinate and work with the following primary stakeholders:
    • Project sponsor and key stakeholders
    • Project team/staff (including designated users or customers)
    • Business Unit (BU) management and executives
    • Enterprise architects
    • Subject matter experts (such as in security or compliance)
    • Infrastructure and operations staff
    • Business analysts
    • User/customer product owner
    • External service providers’ and consultancies’ project manager(s)
    • Quality Assurance (QA) testers
  • Ensure project delivery by overseeing project UAT planning and execution.

  • Design and implement project communication plans.
  • Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modified schedules or plans as required.
  • Benchmark project management performance continuously to identify the potential for improvements and increase project and portfolio management capability.
  • Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure that project goals are achieved.

  • Analyze project proposals to assess project timeline, budget, and necessary activities to achieve desired results.

  • Board management experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Three or more years of IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
  • Three or more years of BU or BU-facing experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
  • Willingness to acquire project management certifications (PMP, CSM) within 12-months of hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent applied experience).
  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated competency in management roles involving the execution of multiple projects or a large project
  • Background in property and casualty insurance, financial services, or other relevant industries preferred.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion. This position requires prolonged sitting, the ability to utilize a computer and interactions with others in meetings or via phone.
