The Manager Planning & Strategy invests in our Purpose by leading a Team to support the long-term strategy development, annual planning, and project management for Southwest Business. This role interacts with the entire Department as well as the Senior Leadership Team to lead strategic initiatives and achieve revenue targets for the Company. Job Summary

  • Manage the department planning and strategic portfolio of projects for all Teams within Southwest Business. Ensure alignment and prioritization within Southwest Business, the Commercial Organization, and other key partners. Own the Integrated Master Plan and associated governance processes and champion project and portfolio management best practices.

  • Guide and lead Team Members using SWA talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage Employees
  • Invest in Leadership and self-growth through participating in continuous learning and development

Responsibilities

  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
  • Facilitate the right conversations with Sr. Department Leaders to ensure informed decisions regarding priorities, tradeoffs, and risks are had at the right time
  • Lead cross-Departmental executive steering and governance forums for aligning Leaders and all levels of Stakeholders to Southwest Business strategic goals and objectives
  • Identify and manage inter-departmental strategies across the portfolio including helping with process efficiencies, role clarity, and risk mitigation
  • Drive partnership and alignment with Technology on prioritization, solution, and objectives
  • Manage the Integrated Master Plan to ensure Department strategies, programs, and projects are effectively prioritized, delivered upon, and enable Southwest Business to meet its objectives
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships and coordinate with peers across the organization to ensure Southwest Business priorities are aligned and support broader Commercial Priorities
  • Craft and deliver executive level presentations that are concise yet comprehensive and drive action
  • Conduct business impact and risk assessment to determine People, process, and technology impacts at the Company, Department, and job specific levels, determining the best approach for addressing impacts and risks

Education

  • Required - High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Building portfolio-level strategic roadmaps with inter- and intra-Departmental stakeholders and aligning those plans with Company priorities
  • Understanding financial ROI and budget analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
  • Leading strategic partnerships, People, or portfolio
  • Developing and executing programs which include change-management plans, continuous improvement mindset and technology enhancements
  • Communicating and influencing peers and Senior Leaders
  • Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:

  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $124,550.00 per year to $138,400.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience**. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
