Who We Are

Today’s complicated business environment is more than that – it’s a period of disruption between the pandemic, global business change and internal process complexity. For us to focus on simplicity and the best customer experience, we need great talent and the right skills to be successful. This is now a mantra for our Cisco leadership team and for us.

What You'll Do

We are seeking an outstanding Strategy and Planning professional to join our Global Specialist Strategy & Planning (GSSP) team as a Strategy & Planning Manager to lead all aspects of our Full-Stack Observability (“FSO”) and Route-to-Market (“RTM”) Strategy & Planning. Your experience will enable you to drive multiple aspects of the sales strategy, planning & operations function. Build & implement operational plans to drive ground-breaking initiatives and GTM plays that translate into sales growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a scalable process to develop, drive, and measure the impact of identified key incubation and sales acceleration initiatives
  • Lead recommendations on key central initiatives from initial hypothesis generation, deep analytical analysis, and executive ready output.
  • Project management for all FSO and RTM acceleration campaigns and initiatives applying rigor to the development of metrics
  • Collaborate with broader S&P team on projects including annual planning and alignment on key business initiatives.
  • Craft a clear GTM growth strategy for the FSO and RTM business based on consultation with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Provide data backed recommendations and drive consensus
  • Work with broader Enablement & Analytics team to activate and measure performance of GTM initiatives
  • Lead, structure and solve sophisticated projects related to our GTM

Qualifications

Who You Are
  • Strong in framing & structuring business problems, prioritizing the effort, conducting complex quantitative and qualitative analysis, building an exec level story complete with recommendations
  • Proven experience translating strategy into operational plans and leading through execution.
  • Minimum BA/BS with 7+ years of related experience in GTM Strategy, sales operations, GTM FP&A, and/or strategy consulting roles
  • Motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • A standout colleague. You love a challenge, you've always got your teammates back, and you're inspired to collaborate to achieve success.
  • Curious and flexible, you enjoy variety and are willing to tackle different roles/responsibilities as business needs evolve
  • Consistent track record in cross-functional collaboration, establishing relationships and driving successful outcomes in a matrixed environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; understand the numbers
  • Strong program/project management skills to drive initiatives; capable of taking a concept, building a plan, and running daily tasks to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Strong communications & influence skills, experience speaking publicly & working with partners at all levels, producing exec level content, and conducting exec conversations
  • Annual planning experience, preferably at either a high-tech or enterprise software company.
Why Cisco
#WeAreCisco. We are all unique, but collectively we bring our talents to work as a team, to develop innovative technology and power a more inclusive, digital future for everyone. How do we do it? Well, for starters – with people like you!
Nearly every internet connection around the world touches Cisco. We’re the Internet’s optimists. Our technology makes sure the data travelling at light speed across connections does so securely, yet it’s not what we make but what we make happen which marks us out. We’re helping those who work in the health service to connect with patients and each other; schools, colleges and universities to teach in even the most challenging of times. We’re helping businesses of all shapes and size to connect with their employees and customers in new ways, providing people with access to the digital skills they need and connecting the most remote parts of the world – whether through 5G, or otherwise.
We tackle whatever challenges come our way. We have each other’s backs, we recognise our accomplishments, and we grow together. We celebrate and support one another – from big and small things in life to big career moments. And giving back is in our DNA (we get 10 days off each year to do just that).
We know that powering an inclusive future starts with us. Because without diversity and a dedication to equality, there is no moving forward. Our 30 Inclusive Communities, that bring people together around commonalities or passions, are leading the way. Together we’re committed to learning, listening, caring for our communities, whilst supporting the most vulnerable with a collective effort to make this world a better place either with technology, or through our actions.
So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us! #WeAreCisco
