Job Description

Job Title: Third Party Logistics (3PL) Distribution Manager

Division: Consumer Products Division

Location: San Bernardino, CA 3PL DC

Reports To: AVP – Physical Flows

What You Will Learn:

  • Act as interface between L’Oreal and the 3PL.
  • Reconciles information between the 3PL‘s WMS & L’Oreal’s ERP system
  • Drives strategic reviews and analysis with 3PL to understand capacity & financial opportunities and risks
  • Ensure the 3PL is managing their Daily Operations in alignment with L’Oréal’s priorities and needs.
  • Becomes L’Oreal Expert in the 3PL’s WMS
  • Responsible for ensuring that the San Bernardino, CA 3PL meets the L’Oreal Performance and Operational expectations. This position is the primary liaison between the 3PL and L’Oreal. Works with the 3PL to ensure that customer orders are appropriately prioritized and fulfilled on time and in full on a daily basis. This role also facilitates the continuous improvement processes at the 3PL; they ensure that there are regular Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reviews with the 3PL and that the required action plans are created and executed to closure.
  • Ensures that the 3PL interface is functioning as expected.Ensures the 3PL is compliant with the L’Oreal financial control systems.
  • Ensures the 3PL is meeting the L’Oreal Performance Management expectations.
  • Drives KPI reviews with 3PL and ensures they have appropriate action plans
  • Identifies “benchmark” activities at the 3PL and shares them with the L’Oreal team.
  • Keeps up to date with knowledge of industry standards.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • At least Five (5) years of experience in warehousing operations with a sound working knowledge of material handling procedures, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), computer systems, and related functions.
  • Three (3+) plus years of experience leading a team and developing strategic plans. Able to identify opportunities and persuade senior leadership to implement actions that challenge the status quo.
  • BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong management experience, analytical skill, process management, TPM, lean or six sigma experience.
  • BA/BS degree with Supply Chain, Engineering; Logistics, Technology, Operations, or related experience, degree in business management.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and an understanding of simplification/improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and influence a wide array of personnel from distribution floor employees to senior management, and across supply chain functions.
  • Demonstrate 100% responsibility with regard to actions and reactions.
  • Demonstrate professional judgement and sound decision-making skills.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Demonstrated understanding of successful change management and principles of design.
  • Proven leadership skills, project management skills, and business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability in leading an operation through a significant transition or transformation; delivering under difficult situations, adapting to new work environments and able to deliver results quickly.

Salary Range:$90,000- 107,000(The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
