We are currently seeking motivated veterans to join our team as Maintenance Technicians in Gainesville, FL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems within the facility.

Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Gainesville, FL

Salary: $51,000 - $65,000 per year (Salary range)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and repair bearings, rotors, air conveyor systems, air slides, compressor couplings, screw conveyors, and conveyor parts.
• Inspect and repair tables, bearings, and tires in the Raw Mill.
• Replace bags, cages, blower V-belts, filters, air cannons, and other components in dust collectors.
• Inspect and align fan and rotor bearings for efficient operation.
• Maintain routine management and documentation tasks.
• Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on pneumatic equipment and hydraulic systems using blueprints.
• Actively participate in the 5S Housekeeping Program within the plant.
• Perform inspections and repairs on liners, center screens, main gearbox, and diaphragms in the Finish Mill.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and practices to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues.
• Operate cutting torches and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Utilize precision equipment to align sheaves and V-Belts.
• Operate mobile equipment as required.
• Safely handle rigging of heavy loads.
• Assist with other departmental needs as required.
• Inspect and repair clinker cooler parts and Kiln parts to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct precision alignment using dial indicators and lasers.
• Provide instruction, direction, and support to outside contractors during special projects or plant outages.
• Inspect and adjust gaskets on pumps for proper functioning.

Requirements:

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to operate cutting torches, welding equipment, and mobile equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document maintenance activities accurately.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in plant outages or special projects.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, blueprints, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in following safety protocols and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
