Contracts Administrator (Transit /Transportation industry) – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Washington DC
The Role
Are you ready to take on procurement and contract management support for a major transit agency? Do you excel in driving the procurement process, ensuring contract compliance, mitigating risks, and optimizing project outcomes?
Join Lumenor Consulting Group as a Contract Administrator, where you will play a crucial role in supporting capital projects. You will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from procurement to project closeouts closely coordinating with the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support contract negotiations.
- Perform contract administration activities from procurement to closeout while ensuring contract compliance through the process.
- Maintain proper contract documentation and prepare claim files and decisions.
- Provide recommendations for contract interpretation, compliance, risk, and change management.
- Collaboratively work to assemble the required project scopes, cost estimates, schedules and contractual terms and conditions to promote fair and open competition.
- Work collaboratively to properly identify, vet, and advance potential changes while ensuring compliance with the contract requirements.
- Collaborate with the project team, the customer, and the industry to gain input to upcoming procurements.

The Person
- Demonstrated experience in the procurement and contracting of engineering and construction contracts involving professional services contracts.
- A Bachelor's Degree in business administration, engineering, construction management, or a related field. Extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must be able to work with minimal direction or guidance and have previous experience in a Procurement/Contracts role that required clear decision making and recommendations.
- Must be local to the D.C. metropolitan area. Position currently requires 5 days a week working in the project office.
- Proven experience working in a high-volume Procurement/Contracts Administration role, involving the ability to multi-task.
