About the role
We are adding a Director, Consulting Sales to our Akkodis team, responsible for improving the organization’s market position within North America and achieving assigned financial growth targets. Are you an expert at building key relationships with customers, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions? This role focuses on managed services and solutions opportunities (typically represented by contracts securing a minimum of five or more consultant placements at one time) and delivering to service level agreements and/or deliverables.
The ideal candidate is a proven technology consulting solutions sales professional having achieved repeated multi-million dollar annual quotas, with experience in one or more of the following industries as well as one or more of the following technology capabilities:

This is a hybrid role with a mix of work-from-home, travel, and in-office and/or on-site office and client visits. Candidates must be able to commute to client sites within the market as well as the potential for scheduled team meetings, trainings, office events and other planned travel. What you’ll be doing
- Leading and/or participating in publications of thought leadership of consulting capabilities, industry trends, etc.
- Forecasting and meeting sales targets in line with organizational objectives and goals
- Maintaining a sales pipeline of at least 3x of the annual sales quota to ensure a steady flow of active sales pursuits aligned to Akkodis Consulting capabilities and strategy
- Negotiating project or managed service SOW extensions and pricing increases
- Leading sales pursuits throughout the sales pipeline - assembling the sales pursuit team to include capability experts and proposal team members; owning the solution that is ultimately proposed to the client in collaboration with capability experts
- Partnering with branch and/or portfolio leaders to identify new opportunities within local markets and industry portfolios and promoting the use of consulting services
- Developing persuasive approaches and sales pitches; preparing and delivering highly effective sales presentations and developing proposals that address client needs, concerns and objectives, and business outcomes
- Arranging and participating in client debriefs and satisfaction assessments
- Identifying potential clients and decision makers within a client organization; researching and building relationships up to the C-level focused on knowing the client’s business, pain points, desired business outcomes, and relevant solutions
- Ensuring data is accurately entered and managed within Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Applicant Tracking (ATS) systems, including, but not limited to, client contacts, meetings, sales pursuits, and contracts
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with consultants; actively seeking opportunities that align to the capabilities of bench consultants
- Prospecting for new clients and/or seeking to expand service offering opportunities with existing clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or utilizing other means of generating interest from potential clients
- Participating in pricing solutions/services and negotiating and securing profitable pricing that yields achievement of financial goals
- Coordinating team selection and onboarding logistics with internal service delivery teams and client stakeholders
About you
We want to set you up for success! To help us do that, here is what we are looking for from you:
- Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Applicant Tracking (ATS) and other related systems
- Maintains knowledge of relevant industry market intel and ability to interpret and apply technology consulting trends to guide clients through their journey
- Efficiently and simultaneously manage multiple projects that may vary in nature and scope
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% is required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Minimum of eight (8) years of related business development experience
- Address client needs, delivery solutions and maintain high-level client satisfaction
- Prepare and deliver successful sales presentations, proposals and business correspondence
- Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of increasing revenue through leading and closing technology consulting sales pursuits
- Ability to lead individuals and teams effectively to accomplish goals aligned to organizational objectives
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team oriented environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- Previous experience working with or within the Technology consulting industry as a sales professional is required
- Possesses, develops, and communicates expertise in specific industry verticals (specific verticals TBD), the technology solutions that pertain to those industry verticals, and business outcomes clients can expect from those technology solutions
- Effectively negotiate contract terms, pricing and expectations
