Overview

Deutsche Bank is hiring a Product Owner within the Lending & Deposits Tribe in the United States. You will be responsible for change deliveries supporting the Investment Private Bank (IPB) Lending and Deposits business that accounts for the majority of IPB revenues in the region and managing a team of ~10 professionals across business and technology (both on-site and remote). The top priorities will be further functional and technical enhancements to our existing platforms, e.g. a loan origination and credit workflow application, meeting our client’s needs in Americas and globally. You will cover the entire lending and deposit product range offered to IPB clients.

What You’ll Do


  • Work closely with the end user / internal clients to plan and prioritize in line with expectation and needs. Support this prioritization by assessing value and providing business case
  • Lead the planning of product releases and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Develop a product vision, requirements and road-map in Lending and Deposits for IPB Americas
  • Find creative ways to elicit needs and information in a global and remote working environment
  • Work closely with squad members to develop business/ technical solutions in line with priorities by developing cases and prioritizing stories/ epics/ themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value

How You’ll Lead


  • Drive both Americas’ priorities and globally required functionalities along the entire loan value chain
  • Development of professional working relationships with various stakeholder groups (IPB Lending, Chief Risk Officer Credit Risk Management, TDI, Infrastructure, External Vendors) across all seniority levels
  • Act as a leader, instilling confidence to the overall team and being front-runner and example for the whole team including business and TDI team members

Skills You’ll Need


  • Degree in Business, Finance, Science, or another equivalent degree
  • Experience in identifying inefficiencies in the Lending and Deposit value chain and processes, designing solutions, and implementing the solution with the support from all relevant stakeholders
  • Experience leading product and/or cross functional teams ideally familiar with working in Agile teams (Scrum / Kanban) and working at scale in an Agile and distributed environment
  • Preferably experience in AGILE ways of working with the strong ability applying Design Thinking processes and techniques (such as User Personas, User Journey, Minimum Viable Products / Experiments)
  • Extensive experience in Financial Industry, knowledge of lending products and credit risk management are a plus

  • Capable to connect the dots beyond own focus area considering end to end processes

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $110,000 to $185,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
