For the Securities & Derivatives Intermediate Analyst we are looking for a developing professional with some experience in a related field. Analyst will integrate established disciplinary knowledge within Rates Middle Office understanding of Citi practices and Market Operations functions, and develop an advanced understanding of how the team interacts with Trading Desk, Sales Desk, Operations and Technology support teams in accomplishing the objectives of the Middle Office. Analyst is expected to develop subject matter expert knowledge of exception management, operational controls, process flows, products, and systems used to support the Rates Trading Business and use that expertise to identify and rectify any control gaps or process improvement opportunities. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way at an advanced level, and will have limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided.

We have a client relationship group, dedicated to overseeing the Organizational service performance and strategic partnership for our top tier client base, where we play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first-class experience when doing business with Citi. Our Business Intelligence and Process Re-engineering group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges. We partner with Citi’s innovation labs to drive optimization, and overall play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model. Our Technology partners develop and implement a wide range of applications that support the Operations, Change, Design, and Implementation groups in providing innovative products and solutions. We have reimagined how to provide technology and service in our domain through the alignment of our team vision, culture, and aggressive retirement plan for legacy applications and adoption of a micro-based containerized cloud environment. Responsibilities:

• Support trade capture management, Front to Back reconciliations, trade confirmations and settlement disputes or discrepancies
• Provide analytic and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading on derivatives and securities transactions
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Identify policy gaps and assist with formulating policies to support work process efficiency, and provide informal guidance/training
• Make process improvement recommendations based on data, and support the resolution of complex problems or transactions
• Escalate, resolve, and support all requests, issues, and errors, and disseminate or explain information to external clients
• Recommend the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms, minimize bank risk, and provide error reducing solutions with an enterprise - level mindset
• Design and analyze complex reports, and participate in, and support the implementation of projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Recommended licensing/registration: Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, Series 63
• Proven ability to quickly understand and critically assess complex processes
• Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
• Demonstrated success solving problems proactively
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
