We are seeking a Legal Counsel, North America to join our team! Your mission will be to provide practical, timely, and high-quality legal support to the North America team on a broad range of matters. Your mission will also be to manage the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department and develop, implement, and improve processes by which the Legal Department interacts with the rest of the business. This position is US-based, remote, and will report to the VP of Legal, North America.

Due to business needs, we prefer qualified applicants to reside in Eastern or Central Standard Time.

Here are the things we want to hire you to do:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Oatly Legal department, and develop, implement, and improve department policies, procedures, and workflows
• Support the VP of Legal on a wide range of matters including contracts, regulatory, compliance, intellectual property, employment, corporate governance, data privacy, and litigation
• Assign and manage work performed by outside counsel in a cost-effective manner
• Provide support to various functions across the North America business, including Commercial, Sustainable Operations, Finance, Sustainability, Creative, People & Transformation, and Communications

Here are the things we think you need:

• 3-5 years’ experience as a practicing attorney with commercial, transactional, CPG, or in-house experience (feel free to have more than one of the above!)
• Strong management, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work closely with multiple different parts of the company.
• Excellent ability to manage and track multiple project workflows and inbound requests for legal services
• You are an improvement-driven person with a hands-on approach, unafraid to take initiative within a collaborative, innovative environment of change and fast growth

The salary for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. Compensation may also include bonus, commission, or equity as applicable. Our good faith estimate range is $115,000 - $135,000.
