Legal Verb is a legal content company that produces high-quality legal content for law firms and legal marketing agencies. We specialize in SEO-optimized blog posts, but also offer full website copy buildout, including practice-area pages, home pages, about us pages, attorney backgrounds, and more. Legal Verb is run by a practicing attorney and has been in operation for more than two years.

We are looking for a legal-minded writer to research and write content for our clients’ websites. The material produced takes the form of practice area pages and blog posts to help the general public understand basic legal concepts, legal issues, and popularly searched queries.

This position requires excellent writing skills and a high degree of organization.

Only individuals with a legal background will be considered.

THIS IS AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR / FREELANCER POSITION. NO BENEFITS ARE OFFERED, AND PAYMENT WILL BE MADE ON A PER-WORD BASIS. PAYMENT IS $0.04 - $0.05 PER WORD, BASED ON EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

• Research and write blog posts, practice area pages, and web copy;
• Conduct light legal research and accurately summarize statutes, laws, cases, and related legal information;
• Work in collaboration with a content manager;
• Staying on an editorial schedule in an organized and autonomous manner.
• All content must be original and of interest to potential client audiences;

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal skills;
• Familiarity with light legal research and vetting sources.
• Ability to stick to an editorial schedule;

Preferred Experience

• JD, law school, or some legal practice
• SEO-writing
