LEGAL ASSISTANT

Connect Staffing seeks a Legal Secretary/Assistant to support the Managing Partner and several other attorneys at a prestigious mid-sized Boston law firm with a reputation as a powerhouse in the bankruptcy/financial restructuring practice area. The ideal person for this role will have experience in bankruptcy/creditor’s rights (Chapters 7 and 11) and/or litigation and have experience supporting senior leadership within a law firm.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with appointments, travel arrangements, and correspondence, both professional and personal.
• Work with dictation.
• Handle phone calls, interact professionally with clients, and respond to inquiries.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed.
• Prepare legal documents (petitions, motions, correspondence) and maintain organized case files and documents.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court filings.

Requirements:

• Excellent typing and proofreading skills
• 3-5 years of experience in a legal administrative role
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with bankruptcy law preferred
• Prior experience in litigation required
