Job Description

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing delivery teams, developing and delivering training, consulting on DEI strategy, and leading client relationships. As a senior member of our team, the Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant will be responsible for guiding the development and execution of DEI initiatives for our clients.

Manage Delivery Team

  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of consultants and/or trainers who will support the delivery of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) services to clients.
  • Set performance goals and provide feedback and coaching to team members to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members to ensure their growth and development
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Assign team members to specific projects and ensure that they have the resources and support they need to succeed.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership on progress toward goals and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with other departments or external partners as needed to ensure that project goals and timelines are aligned with larger organizational priorities.

Training Development and Delivery

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using a variety of methods, such as surveys, assessments, and focus groups.
  • Collaborate with other members of the DEI consulting team to ensure that training programs are aligned with broader DEI strategies and initiatives.
  • Facilitate DEI training sessions for clients, using a variety of delivery methods (such as in-person, virtual, or blended).
  • Use a variety of adult learning methodologies (such as experiential learning, case studies, and simulations) to deliver training that is interactive and effective.
  • Analyze training evaluation data to identify areas for improvement and refine training programs accordingly.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our services
  • Design and develop DEI training programs and materials that are tailored to the needs of specific clients and industries.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in DEI training and incorporate these insights into the development of new training programs.
  • Work with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to other trainers and facilitators to help them improve their delivery skills and ensure consistency in training quality.


Consulting Strategy Development & Leadership

  • Develop and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the consulting practice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to DEI consulting and training, and ensure that the team is incorporating these insights into their work.
  • Collaborate with other members of the DEI consulting team to ensure that strategies are aligned with broader DEI initiatives and goals.
  • Conduct needs assessments and other research to identify client goals, challenges, and opportunities related to DEI.
  • Work with senior leaders and other stakeholders to develop strategic plans that align DEI initiatives with broader organizational goals and priorities.
  • Lead the development of DEI consulting strategies that are tailored to the needs of specific clients and industries.
  • Consult on DEI strategy and lead the implementation of initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics for consulting engagements, such as client satisfaction, revenue growth, and employee engagement.
  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise on DEI issues, staying up-to-date with current research, trends, and best practices.


Lead Client Relationships

  • Manage client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact and building trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
  • Manage the execution of consulting engagements, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for any client or project issues that arise, and work with the team to identify solutions and resolve conflicts.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients that outline the organization's DEI consulting services and approach.


Thought Leadership

  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, speaking engagements, or other events as needed to build the organization's reputation as a thought leader in DEI consulting.
  • Provide thought leadership on DEI issues through publications, presentations, and other channels
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and communications materials that promote the organization's DEI consulting services and thought leadership.

Compensation:

Compensation will be on average between $35–$40 starting and pending on experience.

Availability:

The Lead Diversity Equity and Inclusion Consultant is estimated to work 32 hours per week regularly, with the ability to flex for increased hoursas needed and as approved. The Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant should maintain a consistent schedule and must be available for weekly team meetings while they are working. We operate Monday through Thursday, within the general business hours of 9 am-5 pm CT. We ask all staff to be available between 12-5 pm CT for cross-team collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Travel may be required (up to 20%) based on client needs
