Are you ready to set the standard for Premium apparel?
Main purpose of the position:
Knitwear designer for contemporary brands: Helsa, GRLFRND, LPA, Song of Style, L’Academie, and House of Harlow.
Position responsibilities and daily tasks:
- Sketching
- Commenting on 1 st protos
- Working cross functionally with product development on costing options
- Shopping the market for inspiration
- Leading fittings, updating tech pack construction and BOMs
- Ownership over brands from development to production
- Leading meetings and working one on one with directors and outside influencers
- Tech-packing
- Sending out seasonal stitch development based on direction/brand concept
- Communicating with our vendors on yarn development/R&D
- Working in our product console – naming styles etc.
- Meeting with yarn mills and stitch vendors
What does a candidate need to demonstrate to perform this job successfully:
- Strong communication skills as this person will be working cross functionally and with many outside influencers
- Must understand relationship of yarn and stitch and be able to execute successful stitch development
- Must feel confident working one on one with directors and outside influencers/celebrities
- Must be organized and able to juggle multiple deadlines and calendars
- Must feel confident in leading fittings and meetings
- Strong sketching ability
- Strong technical knitwear background. Must have understanding of yarns, stitches, and fully fashioned construction
- Strong sense of urgency and able to prioritize deadlines accordingly
- Must be able to map/plan out yarn groups/concepts for the season in line with direction given.
- Strong understanding of stitches/yarns in relationship to costing.
- Must be a team player as we maneuver many moving parts
Minimum candidate qualifications (years of experience, education level, technical skills, software, etc):
- 5-7 years of experience in fully fashioned knitwear
Preferred qualifications (years of experience, education level, technical skills, software, etc):
- Fully fashioned knitwear work experience (knitwear degree preferred as well)
- Google suite
- Adobe photoshop/illustrator
- Procreate is a plus
- Excel

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $78,000 - $87,000 per year.
