Junior Marketing Associate, Global Marketing (Dmi) - Thayers

The L'Oréal USA 12-Month Junior Marketing Associate (JMA) internship program allows creative visionaries and strategic thinkers to enhance their marketing knowledge in a fast-paced and hands-on environment. The JMA program is paid internship opportunity for candidates who have graduated with a degree within the last 12 months and is able to work 40 hours per week.
We are looking for a Junior Marketing Associate to join the Thayers Global Marketing team (DMI) in the Consumer Products Division of L’Oreal USA. This position will be part of the brand’s product development team with the goal of support development new launches and innovation efforts. This includes a heavy focus on product ideation and launches.

Support Global DMI Marketing Team with New Product Development

• Support product ideation and development of our new launches and innovations. Propose need gaps based on analysis, help generate ideas and write creative concepts for new products.
• Assist in preparation for team/brand meetings, including regular trends presentation
• Be in the know of all key competitive social + content strategies/creatives + bring new ideas to the team
• Pull competitive data to support launch sizing, pricing, dimensioning etc.
• Assist with photoshoots, helping consolidate briefs, products and formula needs for agencies

Product Closet Management

• Manage & ship product requests to countries & cross-functional teams
• Order launch displays as needed
• Supply new product launches to the DMI team and CCC
• Maintain necessary inventory levels for account meetings, US/DMI needs, Creative and cross-functional team requests while adhering to division budget parameters.

Systems + Purchase Order Management

• Process and track POs for DMI Team while ensuring policy compliance and timely payment to vendors. Manage DMI budget tracker to perform year end reconciliation with A/P & Finance.
• Create and Track DPM ensuring the right set up for international and US
• Kickoff new project Magellan briefs and create new product hierarchy codes in COSMO

Competitive Management

• Team lead on competitive launches
• Manage DMI product cart for internal meetings, including organizing competitive product trays, planking new innovations and pulling top 10 market panels
• Track all key competitive launches in the mass & prestige markets to evaluate for trends, innovations in technology and new claims.

Creative Liaison

• Manage the trafficking and request of creative assets as needed. Assist with the creation of product comps with local agencies.
