Junior It Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior IT Support Specialist (Jr. Help Desk Technician) resolves incoming user support requests regarding hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. This position will report to one of our Corporate locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain Windows Workstations, build, troubleshoot, configure and manage.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain user accounts and groups in Active Directory.
• Manage hardware and software inventory.
• Reconcile or distribute IT vendor invoices.
• Setup and configure computers and network devices.
• Administer and troubleshoot VPN Client.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Microsoft Office 365
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Microsoft Windows 7 / 10
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Write and/or revises user training manuals and procedures
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• One year of Help Desk Technician or other IT Customer Support experience required.
• Technical support experience:
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Windows 7 / 10
• Microsoft Exchange

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
