Jr. Social Media Designer

Position Summary

The Jr. Social Media Designer, working with the creative and social media teams, will ideate and create content designed for the Chargers digital platforms. This position reports to the Art Director with oversight from the Social Media Director and in collaboration with the organic and paid social teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Execute the day to day social graphic needs and provide new, innovative ideas
• Ideate, conceptualize, execute and finalize multiple design projects simultaneously, with a focus on social-first projects
• Assist and manage other creative projects as needed
• Produce social media creative that engages viewers and elevates the Chargers online presence
• Work on a range of projects from quick-turn social graphics to more specific and elaborate designs
• Learn, understand and help expand the Chargers brand through creative executions
• Work closely with the social media and creative teams to plan for tentpole events, game days, holidays and other campaigns
• Serve as the primary designer for social-first content

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of sports, football and the NFL landscape

• At least one year experience designing specifically for social media
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator required. Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Lightroom preferred)

• Thrive in a team setting where it is required to work and interact with multiple departments on a daily basis
• Experience delivering creative while meeting parameters of existing brand guidelines
• Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and quickly turn around content
