Jr. Bi Data Engineer

Our client, a healthcare provider servicing an underprivileged population, uses state-of-the-art technologies to deliver solutions for their internal clients that address their business needs and challenges. You will collaborate with senior data engineers in a range of analytical projects, from data modeling to designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines that ensure the movement of data across systems. This is a 100% remote position and the company provides excellent pay and benefits (medical, dental, vision and life insurance, PTO vacation/holidays, 401K, etc.).

Required Skills & Experience

• Familiar with cloud data integration (ETL/ELT) concepts, data mining, partnering with source system technical owners to create data extraction methodologies
• Preference to having some experience in Agile & Scrum methodologies
• Work closely with business partners to deliver effective global Data BI in a timely manner
• Demonstrated SQL skills with experience in developing stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, or advanced logical methods.
• Demonstrate ability to be collaborative and work in team environment
• Willingness to plan, design, document, develop, test, troubleshoot and manage Data Warehouse & Data Lake solutions
• Familiar with source control technologies and incident workflow platforms, i.e. Azure DevOps

Preferred Skills

• Familiar with Azure, Power BI datasets, data marts, and data flows
• Experience with in Microsoft SQL Server
• Familiar with Data Warehouse & Data Lake data security models, i.e., object, row, column levels
• Experience with Tabular Editor is a plus
• Experience with Power BI or equivalent visualization technology
• Familiarity with data warehousing methodologies and techniques
• Experience with DAX is a plus
• Experience with SSIS is a plus
• Experience with MSFT SQL Server components, i.e., Integration, Analysis Services
