The candidates need to come from the BO stack. They need to have expert knowledge in SSIS SSRS and SSAS

Required Skills:

• SQL

• AWS - Redshift or Athena (must have Lambda and S3 knowledge)
• Looking more data engineering skills (rather than data modeling)
• Python - must be able to understand, review, and work with the business (coding is a STRONG plus)

NOTE:Tech stack for this role, it will be focused more on AWS (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Microservices, DaaS, Python, PySpark, big data, DMS, etc..)

Title:Business Intelligence Support Engineer

You will bring a developer mindset / background to the team and assist with the support, break/fix, and monitor systems to prevent against systems failure.Depending on internal team bandwidth and workload will help with enhancements, maintenance, and some limited new development.May also consult with internal business stakeholders of all levels, provide support & guidance in defining and delivering their BI needs by turning data into actionable information

• Maintain scalable reports, dashboards, and metrics
• Maintain the data warehouse performance by optimizing batch processing through parallelization, performance tuning etc.
• Design and develop SQL for large complex ETL jobs and conduct related database troubleshooting and maintenance
• Publish and consume data to and from the enterprise data lake on AWS Perform code reviews, unit and integration testing
• Execute on POC’s with new technologies, drive innovation, and new ideas
• Collaborate with others on requirements specifications and documentation
• Identify data sources, provide data flow diagrams and document source to target mapping and process.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

• Strong understanding of data modeling (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data warehouses and Data Marts).
• Strong experience with business intelligence and data warehousing design principles and industry best practices including multi-dimensional modelling (star schemas, snowflakes, de-normalized models, handling slowly changing dimensions)
• 3+ years of experience
• Self-directed and able to learn and apply new technologies quickly Ability to prioritize and multi-task across multiple workstreams
• 4 Year College Degree from an accredited university in one of the following: Computer Science Information Systems, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field
• Experience developing and deploying SSRS reports, dashboards, and metrics Experience in creating Entity Relationship Diagram’s using tools like Toad Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• 3+ years hands-on experience developing with TSQL, pgSQL, SSIS, SSAS (Tabular model), PowerBI and C# or Python
• Knowledge of modern development methodologies: Agile (Scrum, Kanban)

Pluses:

• Hands-on experience developing with PL/SQL, SSIS, SSAS (Tabular), PowerBI, C#
• Strong experience with business intelligence and data warehousing design principles and industry best practices including multi-dimensional modelling (star schemas, snowflakes, de-normalized models, handling “slow-changing” dimensions)
• Data Warehouse experience
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies to business problems
• Strong understanding data modeling (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data warehouses and Data Marts).
• You have collaborated with a development team with established source control (git).
