Job Description
Position Summary


The Project Management Office (PMO) ensures that projects across the Enterprise are executed effectively and efficiently. The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing several projects ranging from 40 -750 total effort hours, involving IT and multiple line of business teams through the entire project management lifecycle.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
  • Communicates with various departments and serves as the conduit between business and IT
  • Provides leadership during Project Initiation to focus the stakeholder teams on defining and documenting high level business objectives, project scope, timeline, deliverables, dependencies, success criteria
  • Gathers, documents, and presents business requirements on assigned projects
  • Provides administrative support to Sr. PMs and Directors as needed
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Monitors project progress and ensures projects are on-time and within scope and budget
  • Creates weekly status reports for Sr. Management
  • Reviews legal documents pertaining the project scope including sales proposals, support agreements, service contracts and scope of work agreements
  • Identifies and manages potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects
  • Develops project plans complete with budgetary information and resource needs

  • Project Status, Risks, and Issues
  • Project Schedule with Milestones and Task level details
  • Requirements (Business, Technical and Functional) Documents, Current/Future state documentation
  • Testing Plans with use cases
  • Budgets, Build of Materials (BOM), Request for Proposal and Information Documents
  • Lessons Learned, Project Closure Documents
  • Project Charter, Project Risk Profile, RASCI Charts


Qualifications


  • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to act independently and take initiative to solve problems, implement solutions, and create new processes
  • PMP preferred
  • Business acumen and IT savvy
  • 2+ years of experience managing projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Additional certifications preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively present and communicate with all levels within the organization, with agencies and vendors
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or similar related field strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think independently, take corrective action, and to resolve employee inquiries and requests for information
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines and adjust to sudden changes in workflow
  • CAPM certification preferred
