Job Description
Location: Glens Falls, NY (On-Site Position)

Weather Routing, Inc. (WRI), a rapidly growing ship routing company that provides optimal routing, weather forecasts, and meteorological consulting for cargo vessels and yachts worldwide, is searching for high quality individuals with strong computer experience and programming skills to join our team. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills and be a motivated self-starter along with knowledge of the desired requirements are listed below.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology or Computer Science or related field.
  • Able to demonstrate programming ability.

Experience with any of the following is recommended:

  • Troubleshooting/debugging hardware and software in a technical support role.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Access)
  • Windows Server and/or Linux Systems Administration
  • App Development with Node.JS, Electron, Visual Basic / C# .NET
  • Shell scripting with Bash or Powershell
  • Website Design: PHP/HTML5/Javascript
  • MySQL Database
  • Graphic Design / Adobe Photoshop
  • GIS/Mapping systems.
