This role will be located onsite at the Osceola, Arkansas location.
Level of position will be dependent upon on candidate experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create technical and procedural documentation.
- Perform incident response activities for alerts generated by security tools and the security operations center
- Assist with configuring and maintaining other security tools such as cloud security configuration management tools and IDS/IPS sensors.
- Perform complex troubleshooting of network and firewall issues using packet capture analysis.
- Support cybersecurity related investigations and maintain strict confidentiality
- Participate in a 24x7 rotation with other members of the team
- Identify key information needed to protect U. S. Steel from various threat intelligence sources
- Configure, manage, and maintain a complex environment of next generation firewalls including Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet.
- Configure and maintain remote access tools including Palo Alto Networks Global Protect VPN and Citrix Netscaler.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems both as a team and independently by critical and outside the box thinking
- Understanding of different attack scenarios and methodologies, attacks targeting each OSI layer and countermeasures used to prevent those attacks
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience
- Experience conducting log analysis with SIEM tool
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution or compensating experience.
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting advanced features of next generation type firewalls
- Experience with OT/ICS system communication
- Industry recognized security certifications preferred
- Experience with packet capturing and analysis
- Excellent written and oral English communication and presentation skills
- Experience in network and systems security, not only a key understanding of overall concepts, but also the ability to implement policies, processes and develop solutions to network and security problems. Experience working with NIST, HIPAA, ISO and other compliance areas highly desirable.
- Strong ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong knowledge of computer Networking principles
- Industry recognized networking certifications preferred
- Manufacturing Experience preferred
- Experience in working with cloud technologies such as Microsoft O365, Azure and Oracle preferred
- Ability to meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of Information Security concepts
- This position requires the ability to work in an office setting with occasional tasks in the mill, which could typically involve extreme environments from hot to cold. This position can require long hours, weekend and holiday coverage to support routine responsibilities.
