An ideal candidate for this security consultant position would be an effective communicator with excellent customer service skills and a varied background in IT security, infrastructure, and/or network engineering. As a Security Consultant, you will be a member of a Professional Services team delivering technical consulting services focused on data loss prevention, classification, encryption, , governance, recovery, and protection solutions. You will be supported and trained to become a subject matter expert in these tools and all aspects of data risk management and information protection. This is a client-facing position where you will be expected to work with clients directly, involved in hands-on technical work and project management. You are autonomous but fully supported by an engaged, active, caring, and supportive technical team.

Responsibilities

• Develop an expertise in client-facing consulting on data risk management program development
• Assess, design, and transform customers’ data security tools to match their technical needs
• Third-party Integrations
• Health Checks
• Assist with scoping new service opportunities
• Upgrades
• Perform technical services involving various security technologies, including:
  • Implementations
  • Upgrades
  • Health Checks
  • Third-party Integrations
• Provide guidance, recommendations, best practices, and training on in-scope data security tools
• Pursue, achieve, and maintain ongoing technical education and industry certifications
• Implementations
• Assess accounts’ technical needs, issues and requirements, scope services, and develop and manage plans to meet those needs around clients’ information protection programs
• Perform initial security needs assessments and services planning

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications

• Experience with hypervisor technologies (VMWare, Citrix, KVM, Hyper-V)
• Experience and proficiency in both Linux and Windows Server OS Administration
• Strong IT infrastructure knowledge, e.g. network traffic routing, operating systems, enterprise storage systems, Active Directory, email systems and SMTP routing
• Bachelor’s degree or other equivalent experience and industry certifications
• Ability to quickly analyze, assess and troubleshoot issues, plus strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with Cloud SaaS and IaaS technologies
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in enterprise networking, systems administration, or other general IT background

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing your own time, responsibilities and projects while meeting deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills
• Microsoft Purview (MS-500 or SC-400 certifications preferred)
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audience
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and IT concepts
• Data Loss Prevention (any vendor, Symantec DLP most desired)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with any of the following products preferable:
  • Data Loss Prevention (any vendor, Symantec DLP most desired)
  • Microsoft Purview (MS-500 or SC-400 certifications preferred)
  • Endpoint Security products (any vendor, Symantec Endpoint Security or Microsoft Defender preferred)
• Endpoint Security products (any vendor, Symantec Endpoint Security or Microsoft Defender preferred)

Physical demands

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Travel required

• This position is a 100% remote, work from home position. Travel is limited but may be up to 25%, depending on need.

Salary

• $90,000-$130,000
