It Network Security Administrator I

*Remote locations for this position include Florida, Texas, South Carolina and Georgia.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working within the Digital Hands Security Operations Center (SOC), the IT Network Security Administrator I
works
within a Network Operations (NOC) environment, monitoring alarms and responding to incident tickets coming from a wide variety of IT and networking systems across customers’ environments, including security and network infrastructure, firewalls*_
** ,_*
servers, and appliances. The IT Network Security Administrator I
acts
as the initial point of contact for customer calls and
performing
Level 1 triage, remediation, and performs escalations as required to other teams in the SOC.
Experience implementing and managing firewalls and network intrusion systems, specifically Fortinet products including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer is required for this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work in a shift-based call center environment, handling in-bound support calls, creating and remediating incident tickets through the service management platform.

• Respond to health and availability alerts generated by monitoring and management platforms and escalated to you for customer email requests and queries, remediating or escalating as required.

• Schedule and perform installations of security software on customer devices.

• Schedule and perform firewall configuration policy changes.

• Communicate clear expectations and build relationships with customers and support teams while following appropriate processes and procedures.

• Embrace opportunities to enhance and improve process workflows and the customer experience.

• Able to perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an information technology role.

• Experience implementing and managing firewalls and network intrusion systems, specifically Fortinet products including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.

• Skills and training to support security and networking equipment such as firewalls, routers, switches, and other related infrastructure.

• Experience managing Microsoft Windows desktop and server Anti-Virus and Advanced End Point Protection solutions.

• Experience with network troubleshooting of workstations, server, switches, and routers.

Basic understanding of network and security protocols (SSL, DNS, IPSEC, NAT,
etc

• ).

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.

• Professional certifications such as A+, CCNA, Security+ and Network+ preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,437.63 - $70,000.00 per year
