What you will do

The IT Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our network infrastructure is operating efficiently and effectively, while also staying up to date with new technologies and industry trends. This position is a hands-on stakeholder-facing role and requires the establishment and management of expectations within the business and driving the IT team to achieve those expectations to a high standard. This position requires a mature level of knowledge of business and operational processes, systems and database technologies, IT cloud infrastructure, and security.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage vendor relationships and contracts
• Implement and maintain IT security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
• Monitor and manage virtualized environments using VMware
• Develop and manage IT budgets
• Conduct regular audits of the IT infrastructure to identify areas for improvement
• Provide desktop support to end-users as needed
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department
• Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in IT
• Lead a small team of technicians and provide guidance and support
• Configure and manage Cisco switches and firewalls
• Provide technical guidance and training to other IT staff and end-users on network-related topics.
• Ensure the stability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Experience with network security technologies and practices such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, access control, and encryption.
• Certification in VMware, Cisco, or other relevant technologies is desirable.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Active Directory & Network domain management experience
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, and SolarWinds.
• Microsoft O365 & Azure administration experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of VMware, Cisco switches and firewalls, and desktop support and network protocols, technologies, and products such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
• 5+ years of service delivery management experience
• Hands-on experience with network infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• 3-5 years as a People Manager leading an IT Team
• At least 5 years of experience in IT management supporting 200+ users
