The Role

As the Global Project Accountant you will be responsible for providing commercial contract administration through project invoicing, reporting and data entry and additionally provide order processing support. Responsible for the WIP and AX12 Projects Module (from validating job setup accuracy to job completion).

This position is a hybrid role: 3 days in office and 2 days working from home! The Global Project Accountant reports to our Global Project Accounting Manager and interacts heavily with project accountants on a global basis.

What You Will Do

• Review posted or pending accrual entries as required for percentage-of-completion estimates and accruals.
• Review project manager health reports comparing actual system costs to estimated costs as needed.
• Create, Run & distribute global project reports throughout the month for project managers. These reports are pointing out eroding margin projects, projects with high WIP Cost that need to be invoiced or projects requiring internal change orders, etc.
• All other duties as required by the manager and company's day to day business operation.
• Run period WIP reports out of AX12 and review project revenues and costs to complete.

• Experience working in a High Performing engineering organization and able to provide insight, feedback and commitment.
• Working knowledge with General Ledger package and Projects Module (AX12 is a plus).
• Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines with minimal direction.
• Strong team building and communication skills and the proven ability to influence change.
• Comfortable with taking charge and dealing with ambiguity to achieve successful outcomes
• Project management discipline and driving company procedures and policies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Decisive, thorough, and timely when drawing conclusions and managing expectations.
• Confident, self-assured and able to master Time Management skill.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge And Experience

• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Certified Public Accountant is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience as Project Accountant, Contract Review, SOX compliance, audits and accounting/finance-related field is required.
• Experience working with financial systems is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or finance.
