It Jr. System Administrator

Responsibilities

Perform Tier 2 troubleshooting/triage of incidents, working trouble tickets, completing escalation management, and resolving/reporting of incidents for our production environments.
Assist in daily maintenance and monitoring of Windows Servers (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022)
Assist in daily maintenance and monitoring of Microsoft Exchange 2019.
Assist in daily monitoring and maintaining Backup/Replication/DR environment.
Assist in daily monitoring and maintaining VMWare virtual environment.
Assist in daily monitoring and maintaining Citrix Virtual App environment.
Responsible for detailed and dependable customer service for 90+ end users in Houston as well as travel to 4 office locations: Conroe, Austin, DFW and Prescott, AZ.
Correspond and maintain professional rapport with end users and vendors as needed.
On call night and weekend end user support for specified schedule.

Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Windows Server OS Management Experience 5-10 years (Required)
Microsoft Exchange Experience 3-5 years (Required)
Customer Service or Help Desk Experience 5-10 years (Required)
MS Office Proficiency (Required)
Strong Communication Skills: Oral & Written (Required)
VMWare virtual environment experience 2-5 Years (Preferred)
Citrix Virtual Apps Experience 2-5 Years (Preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field OR corresponding experience (Preferred)
Accounting Software Experience (Plus)

Highly analytical and able to multitask and complete projects in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to consult and work with staff and as a team to determine business requirements, functional requirements and input/output requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work toward short timelines, consistently meet and work as required to resolve problems in order to meet deadlines, which may be impacted by unforeseen problems.
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure.
Individual must be technically proficient in the digital world and accustomed to troubleshooting issues for multiple end users simultaneously.
Should be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a calm and professional manner while involved in high volume transactions and stressful situations.
