Job Description

Our Client, an Agrotech company with offices in US, Canada, and Mexico is hiring a talented Security Engineer. The client has an on-perm data center and Azure Cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure system design allows all components to work together properly
  • Maintain system efficiency
  • Some Database Administration (SQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.), Monitoring and performance tuning of systems.
  • Evaluate and modify system performance
  • Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
  • Manage Active Directory, including user and group administration, Group Policy, and security configurations.
  • Make recommendations for upgrades
  • Implement virtualization technologies and management tools.
  • Manage and troubleshoot enterprise-level infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
  • Manage and secure email systems (Exchange, Office 365, etc.).


Qualifications

  • Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
  • Experience with M365 and SharePoint Online administration
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Certifications (At least one certification is preferred)

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Microsoft Certified System Administrator
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • CompTIA Server+


Skills

  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure services.
  • Proficient knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
