IT Development Specialist

The IT Development Specialist will act as a highly collaborative and agile software engineer that will work on multiple levels of full-stack, front-end, back-end, data engineering, and systems engineering within the Network Operations Systems team. Tasks will include full-stack engineering, application development, ETL, Integration, and API projects both on-prem and cloud. This individual will interface cross-functionally across myriad internal and external teams and individuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-stack application, database, BI development, automate processes.
• Migration to cloud, such as, AWS/Azure including building data warehouse.
• Configure and utilize version control with Git and CI/CD pipeline for DevOps.
• Modernize and optimize systems, apps, processes.
• Utilize JIRA and other tools for issue management on user stories, bugs, epics.
• Be available during core business hours to coordinate, collaborate, monitor, maintain, fix, and troubleshoot various parts of the systems and SRE – Site Reliability Engineering.
• Participate on special tasks and projects as needed.
• Be willing and able to frequently work with changing directions, timeline, acceptance criteria with a sense of urgency.

Key Competencies

• Solid understanding and use of notes, trackers, organizational, time, and stress management, working with difficult situations and customers.
• Hands-on experience of full-stack software and database development with modern cloud-based tech stack; write user manual, procedural document, flow charts
• Willingness and ability to keep learning new tools and technologies as directed.
• Able to communicate effectively with all key stakeholders at all levels.
• Able to analyze and resolve problems systematically, organize information, and generate solutions while recognizing the impact on competing stakeholders.

Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher related with or similar to computer science/software engineering/information systems/engineering/mathematics/physics/business intelligence and/or comparable level of hands-on work experience.
• Understanding of security – AD, IAM/UAM, MFA, VPN, SSH, is nice to have.
• Exposure to big data technologies: ETL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow/Hadoop/Hive/Kafka, Terradata, Redshift, Snowflake, Matmillion.
• Experience in cloud computing, such as, AWS, Azure, GCP. AWS is preferred.
• Must have knowledge of some of the programming languages, frameworks, and libraries, tools, such as, Java, SQL, NOSQL Python, C#, DotNet, Git, MS Power Platform, SharePoint, API, JSON, Java Script, Node.JS, React.JS, HTML, CSS, REGEX, YAML, XML, Lucid.
• Background on containerization with Docker/Kubernetes is nice to have.
