Internship – Finance, Payment Management (Fall 2023)

Fall 2023 Semester:

JOB SUMMARY: This internship will provide an opportunity to assist with daily reconciliation, data entry, and data mining for Universal Orlando’s Payment Management team. Intern will assist with finding anomalies, patterns, and correlations within large data sets to predict outcomes/expectations that affect the organization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Learns internal point-of-sales systems, as well as external systems that support the team’s reconciliation processes.
• Analyzes large databases in order to generate new information/reporting for the team.
• Assists with reconciliation of detailed credit card data processing.
• Performs daily reconciliation, data entry, and data mining to the process of finding anomalies, patterns, and correlations within large data sets to predict outcomes/exceptions, and actions to fix variances.
• Supports forecasting of receivables and fees.

EDUCATION:

• Preferred majors include: Accounting.
• Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
• Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
• An official transcript may be required upon request.

EXPERIENCE: Prior accounting and internship experience related to position is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

• Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
• Consistent attendance.
• Superior written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
