Department Overview
Portfolio Project Management Office (PMO) is critical to delivering the next generation of technology and keeping the existing technology up to date for Fremont Bank. The PPMO team works with stakeholders in a matrix organization to define project requirements, build business cases, help prioritize solutions, and deliver technology solutions.
The PPMO’s challenge this year is to implement a project budget, resource demand and capacity project portfolio management system and create new reporting from this system. Additionally, we will be moving project records to new PPMO tool and conducting internal project audits.
Position Overview
The Intern Project Coordinator will work on audit closed projects and work with members of the Project Management Office (PMO) to create PMO reports (Excel / PPT based) and presentations, clean up and edit documentation all based on our new Portfolio Tool. Intern will also present their work to the larger team and learn how to collect feedback on their own work.
Role And Responsibilities

• Create SOP for Project Management
• Audit project records for closed projects
• Document Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the project budget management, build or improve executive report templates and automate if needed
• Support project managers with administrative tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be very proficient with the following tools: Excel (pivot tables & charts), PowerPoint (create master templates), Word, Visio, and Outlook
• Familiar with business communications, excellent organizational skills
• Must have proven ability to study and learn new technologies quickly

Only individuals possessing outstanding character, a high degree of motivation, and the willingness to learn will be selected.
To be considered, students must meet the following qualifications:

• Candidate must be returning to their campus following the program
• Candidate should express interest in working in a related field that supports financial services, after graduation
• Candidate should be taking upper division courses (junior or senior year)
• Experience in administrative/office support and phone skills
• Have a reliable means of transportation to and from the workplace
• Have excellent customer services/client focus, teamwork, and collaboration
• Candidate should be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Ability to write and communicate effectively and have solid attention to details
• Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Offices including Word, Excel (pivot tables, charts); PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
• Experience in research, analysis and statistical data are a plus
