Information Security Governance Professional (Hybrid Or Remote)

Employees, contingent workers and visitors are no longer required to show proof of vaccination to be on-site. Effective January 2023, Freddie Mac’s hybrid work arrangement is 3 days in the office (specifically Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).

Position Overview:

This role supports the day-to-day of the Information Security (IS) Governance program. The position supports the design and execution of internal security assessments against company requirements, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and industry frameworks, as well as supports other Information Security areas in response to identified findings. This position reports to the IS Governance – Security Assessments Senior Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the enhancement of the current set of InfoSec risks & controls in alignment with CISO priorities
• Supports the development and execution of compliance assessments and testing of process based and automated controls
• Partner and liaise with other risk management teams, maintaining excellent relationships and providing transparency of information systems and security programs
• Provide an advisory service to InfoSec Management for mitigating risks associated with InfoSec security assessments

You will provide risk expertise in Information Security domains and ensure proper understanding and communication of the cybersecurity risk for the firm.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work cross-functionally and establish credibility
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of risk management processes, techniques, and tools (e.g., risk qualification and analysis, risk metrics and thresholds, providing management responses)
• Ability to clearly articulate ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language
• 2 – 4 years related experience
