Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

The Facilities Operations Manager at Samsung is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Fab central utility systems. The Operations Manager fosters a culture of safety by educating employees on safety standards, hazard recognition, and expectation; and promotes a quality mindset through continuously improving processes, policies, and procedures.

Specific Job Duties:

• Partners with engineering groups and system owners to provide technical leadership for operating facility systems.
• Oversees daily operation of the plant and is accountable for the final quality of utilities delivered to internal customers.
• Ensures that all operations activities are conducted in compliance with site safety rules and regulations.
• Provides leadership and coaching to a team of Operations Supervisors and a subordinate team of 40+ technicians and engineers.
• Responsible for all plant control room operations and continuous monitoring of facilities.
• Assesses and improves operations procedures/programs to ensure use of best practices.
• Monitors critical equipment performance to ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
• Manages the organization to develop & hit key metrics to measure & improve performance.
• Have ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Thorough knowledge of 8D/RCCA process for incident investigation & response.
• Proven ability to convey a simplified technical message to non-experts in a technical field.
• Partners with Maintenance and Engineering to identify, coordinate, and execute planned and unplanned maintenance across site. Mitigates risk points sustain continuous in-spec operation.
• Ensures operational continuity through effective shift pass down and daily operations meetings.
• 10+ years of experience in an industrial facilities environment.
• Participates collaboratively with other leaders in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization.
• Establishes talent pipelines by fostering partnerships with local organizations and institutions.
• Proven ability to develop & drive a cohesive strategy for a large organization.
• Establishes benchmarking programs to study and implement industry best known practices.
• Demonstrates deep level of knowledge of industrial facilities operations and best-practices.
• Experience as leader of a team of Engineers and/or Technicians.
• Strong technical understanding of industrial level facilities systems, such as: Chill water, Steam, Condenser water, CDA, Air Handling, Process vac, and Exhaust abatement. Shift: 1st Shift Skills and Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial facilities leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams and leading other leaders
• Demonstrate ability to build strong, influential relationships with leaders across an organization.
• Intermediate knowledge of SCADA and facilities monitoring and control systems.
• Methodical thought process in identifying and resolving problems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or commensurate experience.
• Incorporates best practices into ground rules, and standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of the operation of an operating Semiconductor Facilities Plant.
