Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to schedule and coordinate interviews for potential candidates.
- Welcome new hires on their first day and provide guidance and support during the onboarding process.
- Assist with other HR-related tasks as needed.
- Provide support for HR related projects and initiatives.
- Address and elevate any concerns or issues related to employee relations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all required tasks are completed accurately and on time in the HR system.
- Assist in conducting background checks for new hires as required by the client.
- Collaborate with the corporate HR team and Site Leadership to ensure that HR policies and procedures are being followed correctly.
- Connect and guide new hires with New Employee Orientation and ensure a smooth transition into their new role.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees with HR related questions or concerns.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills to provide a positive and welcoming experience for new hires and respond to employee inquiries and concerns.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other HR-related software and tools to effectively manage HR-related tasks and responsibilities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, collaborate with others, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, provide guidance, and resolve employee-related issues.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to pay attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all HR-related tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve employee-related issues and elevate concerns as needed.
- HR Knowledge: Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, including employment laws and regulations, to ensure compliance and provide guidance to employees.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, handle unexpected situations, and work effectively under pressure.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a healthcare or correctional environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Experience with field-based and/or frontline employee engagement is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Limited exposure to physical risk
- Limited physical effort required
- Work is normally performed in an office work environment
