Job Description
Position Summary: Provides administrative support for the Human Resources Department. Serves as an “intake” for employees by assisting with issues, answering questions and redirecting them as necessary. Assisting with other functional duties such as presentations, data analysis, etc.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for mailroom; receiving/distribution of daily mail and faxes and maintaining the postage meter and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Receives and assists employees in HR answering questions and/or redirecting as them as necessary
  • Serves as back-up to Payroll; handling confidential data entry and clerical assistance.
  • Assist with the management of Medical Leave policies and communicates with the HRIS Technical Specialist to ensure employee T&A records are updated as needed.
  • Participates in Human Resources company-wide projects such as blood drives, company picnic, March of Dimes donation, etc.
  • Performs employee Exit Interviews and track results for analysis purposes.
  • Administers New Hire Orientation for Human Resource Policies & Procedures.
  • May support recruiting and hiring with applicant tracking, job postings and interview processes.

Qualifications
Education / Experience:
High School diploma or GED required.
Two to three years of administrative experience in an office environment.
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Other Required Skills
Effective interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, handling multiple tasks with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to take direction from multiple sources.
Preferred Skills
One to two years experience in an HR Generalist role.
