JOB SUMMARY

Elevanta, an Atlanta-area AMCI-accredited association management company, manages several franchisee associations made up of franchise owners from multiple national brands (Burger King, Buffalo Wild Wings, QDOBA, Meineke, Supercuts and more).Elevanta provides a variety of association management services including event management, publications, digital communications, government relations and a unique suite of member services. In particular is our state-of-the art self-funded employee benefits program. JOB SUMMARY: The HR/Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of Elevanta’s unique self-funded employee benefits program. Working in a team and collaborative environment, this position works in our benefit service center managing our complex program. The HR/Benefits Manager has frequent contact with employer groups participating in the program and must possess a working knowledge of employee benefits programs and government regulations.

JOB DUTIES

  • Direct liaison with franchisee-members, handling calls and resolving issues
  • Maintains current on all DOL and ERISA policies with respect to employee benefits
  • Resolves claim discrepancies with ASO provider
  • Identifies and recommends changes in polices and procedures
  • Keeps current on regulations pertaining to the Affordable Care Act, COBRA and the Department of Labor that may affect the program and/or its participants
  • Maintains files of history, data, correspondence, reports and forms
  • Prepares and distributes invoices to all franchisee members ensuring enrollment changes and qualify events are processed accurately
  • Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives
  • Implementation of new groups
  • Research monthly billing discrepancies for members
  • Coordinates program open enrollment
  • Explains plan designs to employees and assists in making plan elections when requested
  • Oversees record keeping and retrieval methods in compliance with government regulations
  • Handles COBRA administration
  • Assists with preparation of annual 5500 filings
  • Processes benefit changes on a daily basis

QUALIFICATIONS

·Four-year college level degree in human resources or related field

·3+ years in benefits or related benefits administration

·CEBS certification, or equivalent work experience

·Must have experience and knowledge of PC-based computer systems with a strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel

·Strong interpersonal skills

·Good knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures
