Job Description
Job Posting Description
Illinois Residency Requirement: This position requires Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date.
The Office of Human Resources at SIUE is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Human Resources Officer position in payroll. The HR Officer will process semi-monthly faculty payroll by executing various Banner programs and moving the payroll through the required dispositions. The selected candidate will process a payroll of approximately 1,000 faculty, which includes employee payroll entries by each deadline, every two weeks, with accurate salary amounts, pay changes, defer pay, taxes and deductions, and ensure all aspects are charged to the appropriate labor distributions for the correct percentage and dates. The HR Officer will also review and verify all contracts – new and changed- in the Banner system and enter adjustments, corrections, and create system overrides due to late paperwork. Additionally, the faculty payroll HR Officer will assist other Payroll staff with the semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and student payrolls as needed. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the department.
