Payroll Officer Jobs

About the role:

PTC are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team in Crestmead.

The Payroll Officer will provide support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team by processing fortnightly end-to-end payroll.The Payroll Officer is a key member of the finance team who are responsible for the month-end and year-end accounts.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Deliver 400+ employees’ fortnightly payroll and entitlements in a timely and accurate manner
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts
• Support the wider finance team with month-end process
• Review payroll procedures and processes and provide advice on improvements
• Check staff reimbursements
• Advise or provide information on one or more of the following: employment conditions; workers compensation procedures and regulations; superannuation entitlements, procedures and regulations
• Prepare monthly payroll and bonus reports for different business units
• Working consultation with HR team

To be successful for this role, you will have:

• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work to strict time constraints
• Experience with payroll and accounting software
• 2-3 years’ payroll experience
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
• Discretion as there will likely be sensitive information and figures discussed
• Accounting diploma or working towards is highly desirable
• An organised and methodical approach to a task
• The ability to prioritise work
