Job Summary:

Compliance Insight is a growing company looking for a dynamic, fun, energetic, team player to manage our human resources function with focus on employee and 1099 consultant recruitment, retention, onboarding, and engagement activities as well as Payroll processing activities. A human resources professional that does not mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of recruiting, onboarding, retention, and engagement related tasks for office employees and remote 1099 consultants. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Will need to be well organized, flexible and enjoy the teamwork and collaboration of supporting an office of diverse and fun professional people.

Responsibilities/essential functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Remain updated on technical and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, joining professional associations, building networks with fellow professionals, and reviewing industry publications.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance; Regularly revise
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HR and Payroll programs, plans, policies, and processes, and HR/Payroll systems.
  • Own the day-to-day process for the company human resources activities including, but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, engagement and retention, benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, training and development
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain HR records to include personnel files and other employee documents
  • Build, provide, and distribute recruiting agreements, onboarding documents, and letters as required.
  • Develop and execute strategies that will increase employee and consultant engagement, awareness, and satisfaction through multiple forms of activities.
  • Maintain and organize HR office operations and procedures.
  • Work in partnership with managers to coordinate scheduling interviews with an emphasis on creating high-quality matches and extraordinary relationships
  • Conduct applicant phone and 1:1 virtual and/or onsite interviews in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and ensure integrity of data
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers.
  • Perform payroll processing activities.
  • Participate and actively support the planning and execution of company events and employee recognition programs, (i.e., birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
  • Manage and initiate recruiting, onboarding, and engagement activities that enhance onsite and remote employee and 1099 consultant experience.
  • Initiate and support annual HR processes such as performance appraisal, benefits and compensation planning.
  • Supports benefits enrollment to eligible staff. Participate and contribute to the pro-active review and implementation of related process improvements

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert in MS Office
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Enterprise HR system required – Paycor preferred
  • Current knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Handbook and policy and procedures development and maintenance experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years HR generalist and administration experience
  • Proficient in Power Point with the ability to create presentations independently from written content.
