Job Description
Position Summary
As a member of the PGT Innovations HR Leadership Team, the HR Director will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and serve as the Business Partner for the Vice Presidents of Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Care teams. Based in Venice, Florida this critical role will drive strategic human capital initiatives in the areas of organizational design and development, employee and labor relations, and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in development and delivery of HR process and systems training
  • Stay abreast of regulatory and political changes as well as shifting market dynamics; serve as general advisor concerning business and workforce implications; effectively manage risk
  • Focus on talent – assist business partners in identifying, developing, coaching and mentoring top talent; ensure PGT Innovations is building strong teams, capable of and empowered to build and execute a focused agenda; plan for succession
  • Know/understand the business and its challenges; address organizational and people needs; provide counsel and drive action in matters concerning org design and development, employee and labor relations, change management, staffing and retention
  • Partner with PGT’s Operations team to align structure, people, process and reward systems with business strategy
  • Champion and drive a culture that embraces innovation, continuous improvement and change, ensuring the pursuit of organizational excellence Lead the business in a manner consistent with PGT’s goals, objectives, policies and values; enable a working environment where sharing knowledge and expertise is not inhibited
  • Develop, monitor and leverage key performance indicators to drive business improvement; focus on manufacturing, supply chain and customer service KPI opportunities

Ideal Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated employee relations experience as well as positive associate relations in a non-union environment
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, inspire, lead and develop talent
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze and interpret data, driving thoughtful recommendations and action
  • Demonstrated organizational development experience – aligning structure, people, process and reward systems with business strategy; managing transformational change
  • 10+ years of relevant HR experience supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations; firm grasp of the fundamentals of Human Resources Management
  • BS in HR Management or related field; professional designation preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities
Leads team of subordinate leaders and exempt and non-exempt professionals, specialists, and administrative coordinators.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Basic English language skills
Preferred: Bilingual – English/Spanish
Mathematical Skills
College level mathematical skills including the ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts including statistical analysis
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply principles of logical or analytical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

Ability to travel occasionally both domestic and international.
