As the Head of Commodities Trading, you will have a unique opportunity to lead and grow the commodities trading business, overseeing a team of skilled quantitative traders. You will be responsible for developing and executing sophisticated trading strategies, leveraging advanced data analytics, machine learning, and quantitative models. You will also collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to optimize trading performance and risk management while staying at the forefront of innovation in the commodities trading industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments related to commodities trading, and proactively adapt trading strategies as needed.
• Take ownership of projects and strategy inputs, continuously improving PnL through data-driven decision-making and innovative approaches.
• Develop and execute trading strategies for commodities, including futures, options, and other derivatives, utilizing quantitative models and algorithms.
• Lead and manage a team of quantitative traders focused on commodities trading, providing direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders, including risk management, technology, and operations, to optimize trading performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Drive the research and development of new trading ideas, leveraging advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to identify market opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of success in commodities trading, with in-depth knowledge of the global commodities markets, including futures, options, and other derivatives.
• Proficiency in quantitative research, data analysis, and statistical modeling, with experience in utilizing programming languages such as Python, R, or C++.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and mentoring quantitative traders or trading teams in a commodities trading environment.
