This is an opportunity to build a department that produces memorable events that exceed expectations in the Whitby Hotel’s individually designed private rooms and a state-of-the-art screening room all featuring stunning design features.

Working on site the Head of Catering & Events:

·Converts leads to strong client and customer relationships and booked business.

·Supervises the Event Account Manager and oversees the Events Operations Manager.

·Creates budgets and implements strategies to meet and exceed goals.

·Finalizes requirements of booked events, upselling and ensuring accurate communications and functioning across departments successful outcomes.

The Head of Catering & Events brings the following talent and experience to the role:

·6+ years of experience in Catering & Events management, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel with a demonstrated passion for service and building relationships.

·Proven success in managing an outstanding product and guest experiences.

·A BA/ BS degree in hospitality, business a related field or a career path of internal growth in hospitality.

·Experience leading a team to consistently deliver exceptional product and service.

Compensation; $105 - $120k plus bonus potential of up to 20% of earnings
