Job Description
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Global Payroll Manager will be a core member of the Finance team and will be responsible for integrating and building a global payroll function. They will perform duties that support the implementation and payroll migration processes for the company. They will upload and import data, verify payroll and other data balances, run various reports and analyze data to ensure successful data transfer to the new platform.

WHO YOU ARE
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Proficient project management experience
  • Experience with Bamboo highly preferred
  • Understanding of where to go for payroll and tax updates/changes
  • Ability to manage your time and deadlines while juggling multiple tasks
  • Experience with different payroll setups and a solid understanding of payroll processes, industry-wide
  • Knowledge of various tax laws from different states, deductions, withholdings, amendments, garnishments, and other payroll functions
  • Ability to learn new software (tech-savvy)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field
  • Articulate and concise in both written and oral communication
  • Global experience calculating and processing various types of payrolls in multiple countries
  • Demonstrable Excel proficiency
  • Must have experience with ADP payroll software
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Time & Attendance highly preferred
  • 8-10+ years experience in a payroll capacity

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Work with payroll provider to resolve issues around withholding / payroll tax issues
  • Help with off-cycle payrolls as needed
  • Responsible for tax filings, file and pay payroll taxes for jurisdictions where ADP is not authorized
  • Make sure payroll provider is accurately matching and maxing out employee and employer contributions to 401k
  • Maintain and execute payroll checklist to validate all third-party remittances (401k, HAS, etc) are timely
  • Assist in developing payroll reporting including trending reports (dollars and headcount) and ad hoc
  • Help managers resolve time card issues and approve on time
  • Prepare journal entries from payroll system for upload into the ERP
  • Send notifications as required by the inquiry to the appropriate agencies or creditors
  • Work with payroll provider to verify all payroll changes (wages, taxes, bonuses, etc) have proper supporting documentation
  • Help with the migration of international payrolls from several disparate providers to one, centralized provider
  • Calculate and provide data to ADP for retroactive adjustments required for all employees
  • Calculate all compensation, including all earnings types, deductions and tax withholdings on global Ex -Pat & Foreign National assignments.
  • Act as primary contact for employees for all payroll-related questions
  • Provide pay rules and work rules to ADP for system configuration
  • Work with Accounting, HR and the payroll provider to create new deduction, tax and wage codes as needed
  • Process weekly and semi-monthly, multi-state payrolls for hourly and salaried employees and ensure the overall accuracy of the payrolls (approx 1,000 employees)
  • Work closely with the Accounting and Human Resources departments to adjust payroll processes as needed
  • Help with commission calculations
