CITI Security and Investigative Services (CSIS) is a full-service security and investigative team that protects the assets, integrity, and reputation of Citi and its clients. We accomplish this by offering in-house security, investigative, intelligence, and crisis management services to clients across all of Citi's businesses and regions. We also collaborate with other Citi business groups, law enforcement agencies, governments, and industry counterparts.
The Global Intelligence & Analysis (GIA) program in Citi Security & Investigative Services (CSIS) is a dynamic program combining specialized intelligence and analytical resources, in support of cyber, fraud, internal misconduct, security, and other complex issues that arise throughout Citi. GIA’s mission is to provide timely and accurate intelligence and analysis that enable Citi to mitigate threats, improve business efficiencies, and reduce risk. GIA is globally dispersed, with analysts in the U.S., Mexico, Singapore, India, Hungary, and the U.K., and utilizes a ‘follow the sun’ model to meet our stakeholders’ needs. GIA is comprised of 10 core capabilities, including Regional Command Centers (RCC) located in NAM, LATAM, EMEA and APAC regions.
The NAM and LATAM RCC based in Tampa, Florida is a 24/7 security operations and intelligence center responsible for executing streamlined processes and procedures focused on incident monitoring, incident reporting, travel security and crisis events coordination.
About this role
Based in Tampa, Florida, this role reports directly to the NAM and LATAM RCC Lead Program Manager. In support of regional and global CSIS functions, the incumbent will manage the strategy and day-to-day activities of the NAM and LATAM Regional Command Center Operations program inclusive of Alarm Response & Coordination, CCTV Monitoring, and Incident/Crisis Response.
The GIA RCC Operations Senior Manager position is a regional program role requiring expertise in physical security and safety, crisis management, security technology, and event and travel security. We are looking for high performers willing to bring their “A-game” and with significant understanding and expertise in:
- Project/vendor management coordination, balancing multiple competing priorities
- Program/team management, including budget, training, and performance evaluation
- Building productive engagement models with internal and external stakeholders
- Incident/crisis monitoring and response
- Creating and Maintaining policies and procedures documents
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operational activities in area of responsibility across multiple locations and jurisdictions in which Citi has a business presence/operation in full compliance with Citi Security and Fire Safety standards (requires timely and efficient execution)
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Establish relationships with senior business leaders and actively engage with internal Citi functions and external agencies to promote functional excellence
- Be knowledgeable of global, regional, and local security protocols, operations or guidelines and apply them at each facility (maintain, and find ways to improve, current RCC policies and procedures)
- Manage multiple vendor relationships
- Represent CSIS on facility, Crisis Management Teams, and during Continuity of Business exercises
- Collaborate with peers, leadership team and Industry contact to keep CSIS leadership informed on security threat trends, industry standards, technologies, and systems
- Integrate concept of “Continuous Improvement” into management activities and communicate same to direct reports
- Clearly and concisely brief management on ongoing major security matters and does so in a professional manner
- Manage contingent and contract staff at various Citi facilities, sites and branches
Qualifications
- Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish is required
- Experience with understanding potential security or safety threats (e.g., fire, executive protection), local threats based on geographic location and their business impact
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management and how to develop/present innovative solutions to senior management to mitigate risks
- Collaborated with peers, leadership teams and industry contacts
- Managed complex security projects
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Established effective relationships with senior business leaders and internal partners
- Has demonstrated in-depth understanding of the elements of a security & safety risk and control environment. Identifies and remediates weaknesses in security activities.
- Performed critical evaluations of staff to raise operational effectiveness and efficiency
- 6-10 years of experience in a private/public sector security department managing teams of security professionals and contingent staff (previous experience working in a corporate or financial services preferred)
