Job Summary

Under general supervision, responsible for executing assigned projects that are related to the intern’s course of study in order to develop expertise in the applied field. This internship is reserved for a current college student or recent college graduate. Provide support and assistance on the design and execution of capital projects.

• Undertakes projects and special assignments for a specific time period.
• Performs assigned duties under the supervision and guidance of senior staff member.
• This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Participates in daily work assignments and learns the basics of the functional area.

Compensation

• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
• Set rate listed as $20.00 - $20.00

Perks & Benefits

• In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses and incentive plans, as applicable.

Minimum Requirements

• Required to be a participant in the VIP Internship program at Fresno State.
• Required to participate in the formal interview process by member companies.
• Required to participate in two- six month long internships at the member companies (one as a junior and the other as a senior).
• Currently enrolled at California State University Fresno and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology; OR have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

Preferred Requirements

• Junior or Senior class standing at California State University Fresno and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology.
