Position Responsibilities

As an FP&A Business Partner, you will be working to oversee all things Finance in partnership with the Engineering organization. You will be driving finance strategy, scenario modelling, business partnering and business decision support for this complex and fast moving team.

• Preparing budget vs. actual variance analysis and other relevant reporting
• Own the budgeting and forecasting processes for this function.
• Be the subject matter expert and strategic business partner for the Engineering organization.
• Assist with and manage ad hoc projects to support senior management and business decisions.
• Evolving these processes, as needed
• Leading thoughtful analysis, proactively evaluating key drivers and metrics, and partnering on driving operational efficiencies and performance
• Collaborating with the accounting team on accruals and other elements of the close process
• Partnering with business to ensure accuracy for spend, headcount, and other key metrics based on operational performance.
• Partner with the Finance and Engineering leadership on forecasting and monitoring key spend areas to assist in optimizing margins and unit economics.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years FP&A experience, Software engineering FP&A experience a major plus
• Excellent interpersonal effectiveness, with the ability to influence and challenge
• Strong academics, with a Bachelor's degree in an finance or accounting subject
• Detail orientated but able to see the bigger picture through cross functional collaboration
• Highly analytical and curious in solving business challenges
• Strong Excel skills - ability to model data and tell stories about the impacts and implications of the model
• Be ready & willing to challenge the status quo for a better future
• BI tool development/use or data visualization experience a major plus
