Role Summary:
Join our team as a Food & Beverage Manager for Solage, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by responsible for the leadership, supervision and activities for dining service. The successful candidate is highly energetic, strategic, and front facing. We are looking for a leader who can rally the team and create vibrancy, style and buzz with the product and service. The position requires consistent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Previous food and beverage leadership background in a luxury hotel setting is preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Hire, train, and supervise restaurant employees
  • Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Coordinating daily restaurant management operations
  • Create staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
  • Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Track stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering as necessary
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Organize and supervise shifts

Qualifications:

Skills and Abilities

  • Have a sense of effective marketing strategies.
  • The ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent customer service with the ability to guide the team
  • Have patience, remain calm under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets
  • Excellent leaderships skills
  • Able to run the business smoothly and treat customers with respect and understanding
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and Resy
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed
  • Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Acute financial management skills responsible for adhering to budgets, placing orders for products and supplies

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Experience in a food & beverage management role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
  • Ability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
  • Computer training, preferably in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Food handlers certificate & Responsible Beverage Certification
  • Knowledge of various food service styles
  • High school graduate or equivalent

Physical Demands

  • Walk or run for long periods of time.
  • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to move/maneuver in an (add department) environment.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Bend or twist their body.
The starting salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. This is the pay range for this position that Solage reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
