Senior Manager - Global Food & Beverage Strategy, Platforms & Financial Services

The Vertical Strategy Team is part of the broader Platforms & Financial Services (P&FS) Pillar. Our team mission is to position Adyen as the clear choice for embedded payments and financial services and to grow our commercial success across our verticals.

The Senior Manager for F&B Strategy will play a critical role in the teams' success by driving the commercial strategy and revenue growth initiatives for net new business acquisition as well as growth of existing customers within the focus area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the F&B SaaS platform industry, exceptional strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record of driving commercial success.

What you'll work on

  • Be a thought leader and SME for the F&B SaaS platforms vertical and on our overall platform offering
  • Develop and maintain customer segmentation to identify opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion.
  • In partnership with the Offerings & Strategy pillar team, leverage knowledge to strategically enable commercial teams to win deals vs. the competition / grow existing customers, e.g. sales motion guidance, selling materials, knowledge share, etc.
  • Define pricing strategies and packaging strategies to maximize profitability and market share within the F&B SaaS platforms vertical.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact the F&B SaaS platforms vertical, and proactively identify strategic opportunities or risks.
  • Drive and implement the commercial strategy for the F&B SaaS platforms vertical, aligned with the overall team and company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Analyze vertical specific customer behavior, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product and service innovation and differentiation.

Who you are

  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Past work experience at vertical F&B SaaS platform brand is a plus
  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a commercial strategy role in the technology sector, ideally financial technology
  • Experience working in a global, multi-cultured, fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • Thrive working in a collaborative, empowering environment.
  • Enjoy motivating teams globally and bringing energy that inspires.
  • Support commercial teams "on the ground" to drive product enablement and impact.
  • Can prioritize and communicate efficiently.
  • Clear understanding of the payments and financial sector, as well as financial technologies.
